If you want to know me,
you'll need to see me
[when I'm not hiding]

You can only see a person truly
when their WALL has crumbled and
they are
vulnerable.
Possibly, b/r/o/k/e/n.

Only then,
when the light is shining
through the c-r-a-c-k-s,
(in what used to be
an indestructible wall,
built to hide and protect)
can you truly see
the person inside.

Only when I am shattered,
cracked wide o  p  e  n
by the weight of my whole world,
will you truly see
the person residing inside this [shell].
when we're young we think we're invincible. we don't know yet how the world can hurt us. but once we grow up and figure it out, see how people can scar us, we put up a wall so nothing, or no one, can hurt us anymore. we lose ourself when we trap ourself like that. sometimes we forget how to feel. sometimes we need to let our guard down, need to let someone see us when we're raw with emotions and when we're vulnerable, for them to really know us at all.
